With July right around the corner I’d like to welcome you to save the date for my upcoming show at Flute Bar on Wednesday, July 22nd, where I’ll be performing as a duo with Mark Capon on guitar from 8-10:30pm, no cover! Singers & instrumentalists are welcome to sit in!

A fun history fact is that Flute is a delightful speakeasy lounge in the basement level in a space that used to be an actual, real former speakeasy called Club Intime in the 1920’s! Mae West was a frequent customer as she dated Owney Madden, who ran the club along with Texas Guinan. Mae West also lived above the club in the Harding Hotel. She has always been one of my biggest inspirations so I can’t believe that I’m only discovering this now, but maybe that’s why I feel especially at home at Flute, because I feel her energy in the room, among many others!
